Reflect and refresh
29 January 2026
Phew! We made it. That was a full-on year. Now that we’re back and still getting back into the swing of things, shall we take a quick look back at what Tommy did?
A wonderful year of work
Well, let’s kick it off with all the great projects he got to work on. To start, an advert for Facebook. He had the pleasure of creating a range of bits for the project, from characters to backgrounds, which were then animated by the incredible team at Le Cube.

Care.com was an excellent project, too. Tommy created a substantial library of illustrations for them, ranging in size, all following a consistent style and palette to tie them together.

Concours of Elegance got a fresh cover illustration for their 2025 catalogue, and also gave Tommy the opportunity to attend the event and goggle at all the fancy cars.

In Motion: Round 2
Tommy went back to In Motion to get his annual dose of animation inspiration, and boy, did it deliver. There was hilarious work from Nexus, some seriously slick stuff from The Line and fascinating insights into the process at Buck. Plus, seeing the behind-the-scenes of KPop Demon Hunters was always going to be amazing.
A new ride
Back in November, he switched up his motorcycle for something a bit more classic-looking: a Triumph T120. Which also means he had to update his info page and profile picture with his new toy.

Tying the knot
On a more personal note, Tommy got married to his partner of 13 years. Such a brilliant day surrounded by friends and family.

So, what’s next?
As the editor, I have some specialist pieces in the works that will be published in separate newsletters. So keep your eyes peeled.
It looks like Tommy is looking forward to digging into some personal work to get the creative cogs going again and to experiment with new ideas, without the pressure of an end client. Building on Rive experimentation, exploring prints and printmaking, making more silly animations, and getting back into analogue media are all on the cards. And also holidaying more. Much more holidaying…
Alright. I think that’s it. See you when you’re older. Porker out.
